Handling FMCG goods in a warehouse requires efficient management due to high turnover and short shelf life. Key practices include using First-In-First-Out (FIFO) to prioritize older stock, ensuring products are dispatched before expiration. Real-time inventory tracking prevents overstocking and waste, while organized storage ensures easy access, especially for temperature-sensitive items. Efficient picking and packing systems, such as barcodes and RFID, speed up order fulfillment. Strict hygiene protocols are essential, particularly for food items. Regular stock rotation and demand forecasting help optimize stock levels, reduce waste, and improve overall supply chain efficiency.
