Inventory management focuses on efficiently handling stock within the warehouse to ensure optimal storage, organization, and movement of goods. It involves tracking the inflow and outflow of inventory, managing stock levels, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment. Key processes include receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products, all while minimizing errors and maximizing space utilization. Warehouse inventory management often uses barcode scanning, RFID, and warehouse management systems (WMS) to monitor stock in real-time. Effective management ensures timely replenishment, reduces stockouts, optimizes labor, and enhances overall warehouse efficiency and customer satisfaction.
